Madrone Ridge Residence
Nestled among oak trees and madrone groves, this residence overlooks the agrarian communities of Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County. The design harmonizes architecture, landscape, and nature, by connecting the fragmented built spaces with the surrounding environment. The entry path is defined by a weathered steel wall, guiding you past an iris-lined water feature that culminates at the pool terrace. This strong central axis cuts through the heart of the house, offering a compelling visual connection to the valley below. The rustic material palette draws inspiration from the natural surroundings, while the planting feels untamed and organic, punctuated by vibrant bursts of color.
