Roy Estate Winery

Roy Estate, located just north of Napa on the eastern side of the valley, is a premier wine-producing property with diverse ecology, including native oak trees, volcanic soil, and an established olive grove. The design focuses on a cohesive arrival sequence, enhancing outdoor entertaining spaces, and restoring the landscape. Around the main house, a grotto featuring a custom 15-foot firepit, pizza oven, lounge, and dining area provides an inviting space for guests. The pool area was reimagined with a valley-view overlook, while pool equipment was hidden underground to blend in with the site’s changing grade. Invasive species were removed from the creek zone, allowing its natural flow to be restored. The design blends Mediterranean low-water plants with California natives, complementing the site’s natural soil and vegetation.
